My London Marathon official photographs!!!

My London Marathon official photographs - done at an AGM meeting of the Howard League on 04.11.2015 by their professional photographer.
He made about 25 of them, and I had to chose one out of them.
I am useless when it comes to photographing me.
The camera does not love me.
I am no Princess Diana or Kate Middleton who out of 25 made photos , would probably have 26 good ones!
Oh well.... we work with what we have been given in life.

Guess which one I have chosen for the official Virgin Marathon website?
You guessed: the one with the T-shirt!
And THE SMILE!

I have been given the official T-shirt as well. That is the one I will be running in!
And I love it.
The front is as you see it, but on the back it says:
"Less crime, safer communities, fewer people in prison."

That's all what we, as a society should be striving for!
And I am so proud that I will be running in the year of the Howard League's 150th birthday!
There will be lot's of cakeBolo de aniversário!

And I hope I will be allowed to eat it by that time!

Tell us your story.
Why I decided to put my name in for this challenege?
- I have been dreaming of running the London Marathon for the past 10 years and it still is on my Bucket List,
- I power walked the Moonwalk London Marathon 2015, raising money for breast cancer,
absolutely loved the challenge and being able to make a small difference,
- I have been following, in the media, the problems ravaging the UK penal system and got
interested in the cause,
- I joined the Howard League a year ago and this is my second year as it's Member,
- I strongly believe in helping everyone, even the ones most abhored and forgotten by
society!
- I decided to put my name forth, for the London Marathon 2016, representing the Howard League and my application has been successful and I am being welcomed to the start-line on Sunday 24 April 2016 Coração brilhando
I am surprised and humbled to have been chosen as this is THE ONLY ONE PLACE for the Howard League in the London Marathon 2016!
It will be a precious challenge and I am going to put my heart Coração brilhando️ , soul and body to the task for the next 6 months!
Please follow me on 'magdalenalondonmarathon2016' blog, edited by my Brasilian friend, Jaki, and I hope that together with God's and all your help, I will be able to raise good money for the Howard League.

The Howard League celebrates its 150th birthday in 2016 and, to mark the occasion, we are giving our supporters the chance to take part in the Virgin Money London Marathon and other challenge events.

Virgin Money London Marathon

Sunday 24 April 2016

Do you have what it takes to run 26.2 miles while helping to raise thousands of pounds for the Howard League for Penal Reform?

The London Marathon is the world’s most famous race. More than 38,000 runners are expected to take part in the 2016 event, and we are giving one lucky supporter the chance to join them on the start line.

If you would like to take part, please let us know why the Howard League matters to you. Perhaps someone you know has been helped by our Legal Team. Maybe you were inspired by one of our campaigns. Or perhaps you’d like to run for us to raise awareness of our work towards a society with less crime, safer communities and fewer people in prison. Tell us your story.

To apply for a place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2016, please email challenge@howardleague.org. Please give your name, address, contact number and details of why you would like to run for the Howard League, and tell us how much money you think you could raise. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 19 October 2015.
